This internship is ideal for a current college student or recent graduate eager to dive into the world of book publishing — especially the side that connects books with media, events, and promotion with the readers. You’ll get hands-on experience working on real publicity campaigns, collaborating with passionate team members, and you’ll learn how publicity helps stories reach new audiences.
👉 This isn’t a coffee-run internship. You’ll contribute meaningfully to projects, collaborate with publishing professionals, and discover how your ideas can impact readers everywhere.
About the Program
- When: June 9 – August 13, 2026
- Where: New York, NY ($20/hourly)
- Schedule: 24 hours/week (2 days in-person, 1 day remote)
- Who: Current college sophomores, juniors, seniors, or recent grads
The team works on titles from every Sourcebooks imprint at the cutting edge of digital advertising, social media, and email marketing. The Digital Marketing Intern at Sourcebooks would be supporting our Audience Development and Audiobook Marketing teams, working on social media, email, admin, and content marketing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with scheduling and production of digital and audiobook social media content
- Prepare materials and research participants for influencer outreach
- Join in the content creation and planning for email marketing across Sourcebooks’ imprints
- Assist in building audiobook marketing plans for upcoming titles
- Support digital and audiobook marketing campaigns by creating assets and coordinating mailings
- Perform administrative tasks as required
